I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT 115657).  I have undergone my own psychoanalysis and I am a candidate in advanced psychoanalytic training at the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco. I have a Masters Degree in Counseling with an emphasis in Somatic Psychology and completed a prior masters studying comparative religion and philosophy. 

 

Somatic work invites us to ask ourselves how we are holding narratives and memories in our bodies. Jungian work invites affect, soma, dreams, memories, stories and associations to be explored symbolically. Together these approaches invite us to be present with what has happened, what is happening, and what wants to unfold inside us. I use somatic and Jungian approaches as well as psychodynamic and relational strategies to address the full range of human experience and identity including history, family, injuries, strengths, cultural and class background. 

 

Patterns that developed to strategically help us survive younger chapters of our lives no longer serve us. Together we use Jungian, somatic, relational approaches to explore patterns and behaviors and find new strategies that are adaptive and serve us. 

 

As old strategies loosen their grip, people I work with often realize more choices around how they want to live their lives. The more conscious we become, the more choice we have in whether we want to hold on to old techniques or try out new ones. It can be remarkable to realize the new choices available that were not possible before.
